Aunque poco a poco va cambiando aún está arraigada esa sensación de mucha gente de que al fisio se va a sufrir un rato para posteriormente encontrarse mejor. Pienso que habría que concretar más esta situación y acotar los espacios en los que esto sucede o no.
Principalmente lo que se busca en el tratamiento es el cambio o la reacción por parte de los tejidos y estructuras sobre los que trabajamos. Dependiendo de la zona o estructura con la que tratamos de “comunicar” el “idioma” que tendremos que utilizar será uno u otro. No es lo mismo tratar un músculo de la espalda, una víscera abdominal o una articulación limitada en su movilidad.
De este modo pienso que puede comprenderse mejor como hay momentos en los que puede aparecer dolor en el tratamiento, que debe ser pasajero, y en cambio en otros casos podemos realizar un tratamiento efectivo sin su aparición. A veces el tratamiento del reflejo muscular y la recuperación en longitud del mismo nos pide que hagamos un poco de daño (que por otra parte siempre es un valor subjetivo de las personas. Algunas toleran unas cosas tranquilamente y a otras esas mismas técnicas les pueden resultar duras.) mientras que la devolución de la memoria de su movilidad natural de una víscera se realizará, normalmente, sin dolor.
También pueden darse otro tipo de situaciones como sucede en pacientes con sus cualidades de sensibilidad y movilidad alteradas.
